7 Essential dos and don’ts of perfect skincare routine

Kick-off your day with a glass of water and take eight glasses or 64 ounces of water throughout the day. It’s also good to add fruits and vegetables with high water content like watermelons, cucumbers, and celery.

Don’t taint your skin:

Your hands look clean, but are they really?

Your hands have so many invisible bacteria that cause acne and blemishes. The more you touch your face, your acne, breakouts, and blemishes arise. No doubt, it’s challenging to overcome the habit. DON’T TAKE HOT SHOWERS:

When you take a hot shower, your skin’s moisture balance gets disturbed and leaves it dry. Having a hot shower strips the natural oils and proteins from your skin that keeps it healthy. Using hot water may result in inflammation, dryness, redness and even itching.

Use only warm to take a shower, and it’s better not to shower more than twice a day!

DO think of what you eat:

Healthy food is the foundation of your healthy lifestyle. Look into what you put in your mouth. If you consume large portions of junk food, a lot of alcohol or a large amount of caffeine, clean and supple skin is a fool’s dream for you. Most skin problems arise due to bad food and bad eating habits.

Changing lifestyle may be hard, but adding green veggies and lots of fruits in your daily life may be the best step towards it. Having essential nutrients like vitamins, proteins minerals daily not only keep you healthy but also help you get the skin that shines inside out.

DO make Sunscreen your best friend:

Make sunscreen your best friend irrespective of your skin type. Use this essential product not only in summers but in winters too. A sunscreen saves your skin from dangerous UV rays that can lead to premature aging, fine lines and wrinkles, and even cause skin cancer.

Dermatologists highly recommend sunscreens with SPF 30 or more. With increasing pollution, it’s high time to know the importance of sunscreen whenever you go out.

Do take your beauty sleep:

Some people brag about sleeping as little as possible and they are quite proud of it. But be alarmed; it’s a call for disaster! You can easily spot bags or purple shadows under their eyes, can’t you?

Nature and science both emphasise having proper sleep. Deep sleep for 6-8 keeps you and your skin healthy and also repairs the damages within your body.
